My favourite thing to do after rest days is REALLY go for it the day after. Fortunately when I arrived at crossFit Napalm for the 6pm class this evening, that was the only option on the board! It's important, at least for me, to remember that working out is not a punishment, or even a reward, but rather a way you earn the ability to live on your own terms. A large part of that is psychological. For me there's nothing quite so much fun as walking in, seeing what's written on the board, and doing exactly as it says to the best of your ability.

This left me flat on my ass. I was sucking gas and regretting the minor excesses of yesterday. That said, I was strangely satisfied just a few minutes after that. Driving home was a challenge with my grip severely depleted, but it was worth it.

Food
A decent day today, although I did have the usual post-eating-like-shit-day cravings. I include this because I think it may be useful to someone else. When I eat like shit, even for just one meal, I can't wait to carry on doing it! Of course the effects of eating badly compound. Getting back to normal is essential. I did what I had to, and resisted the cravings.
At 8:15am I had 4 rashers of bacon and 5 scrambled eggs.
At 1:30pm I had a chicken. Tesco's deli counter is good for this if you're on the go!
At 8pm I had 500g of mince on a medium jacket sweet potato, with grated cheddar on top followed by banana, yoghurt and honey.
