Physical Freedom 147/365 - 20220606

Today will [most likely] be my last blog for a couple of days, as I'm unlikely to have WiFi tomorrow evening, and will be climbing Mount Snowdon through the night on Wednesday. With that in mind, please take a moment to look at the details of the event below, and consider donating to YESS! if you can afford to do so. Any and all donations are gratefully received.

Today has been the best day for my back so far. It hasn't been perfect; there have still been niggles and hesitant moments, but noticeably better than previous days. I still haven't trained, but I have moved, and will continue to move this evening. I've tested pull-ups, push-ups and squats in sets of 5, 10 and 15 respectively, as this is what I'll be using mostly on Wednesday. I haven't work a vest on any of it, but it felt good. My plan this evening is to spend half an hour doing some moderately paced 400m runs and some pull-ups. The squats so far today have been the movement of which I've had to be cautious, but I'm still a little nervous about running later. It may sound silly to run tonight, but I'd rather know if something is going to go wrong now, than first thing Wednesday morning.

Equipment:

We're lucky enough to be receiving support from Bulldog Gear at the summit of Scafell Pike, where they'll be setting up a BSSR Series 2 for us. You can grab one via the link below, and use TH5 to save!

Food

I'm writing this really early, 6pm to be exact, so I haven't yet eaten this evening.

At 7am I had 3 rashers of bacon, 3 fried eggs and some berries.

At midday I had 1lb of mince and some cheese.

This evening I plan on having 2 sirloin steaks, 1 or 2 eggs, and some liver and kidney. I'll follow this with fruit, yoghurt and honey.
