Physical Freedom 127/365 - 20220517

A little less ranty today. Today I'll stick to what I did, what I ate, and what kit you need to set yourself up for success! That said however, if you want to more deeply understand my rationale on health and fitness, and the aspects of philosophy, psychology and sociology that underpin it, try following my Twitter.

Today I trained on the 6pm class at CrossFit Napalm.

Hang Snatch

3 Rep Max - I got to 95kg, a lifetime record for me and one I'm very happy with.

Snatch

Every 40 Seconds x12 at 80kg

Scaled from every 20 Seconds at 95kg. I just wouldn't have got much training value from even attempting that, and my injury risk would have outweighed any benefits.

Snatch Pull

5x3 at 80kg

I scaled this down from 105kg to slow pulls at 80kg

14 Min AMRAP:

10 Handstand Push-Ups

10 Box Overs 24"

15 Russian Kettlebell Swings 32kg

15 Pull-Ups

30 Double Unders

I got 5 rounds and 10 HSPU. I was really chuffed with this for a couple of reasons; firstly yesterday may have been a fluke, and not really demonstrated recovery as a one off, and secondly this isn't great for me on paper. Anytime double unders and HSPU are paired I dread the crumbling of my soul, but today it didn't materialise.

Equipment

As always, I scrambled to get my favourite Bulldog Gear bar to lift with today. Grab yours by clicking the image and use TH5 to save!

Food

At 8am I had 2 rashers of bacon, 3 fried eggs and some berries.

At 2pm I had mince and cheese.

At 5pm I had two satsumas.

At 8pm I had a 10oz rump steak, a small block each of stilton, Manchego and some halloumi and a medium jacket sweet potato topped with butter. I followed this with berries, Greek yoghurt and Manuka honey.
