Physical Freedom 127/365 - 20220510

I don't want to get too far ahead of myself, but, today my mojo was back! I kind of knew it was coming, but he funk of the last few days seems to have gone. I will keep my fingers tightly crossed! I don't go through this very often, thankfully, but what I've learned is that the best thing to do, for me at least, is something. Less than normal, and without goals or targets as such, but something! Today I felt really good, so I trained twice; once at around 3pm, and then on a class at 6pm.

Snatch

6x2 80-90kg

Power Clean & Push Jerk

5x1 90-100kg

3 Rounds:

10 Strict Pull-Ups

10 Bicep Curls Per Arm 16kg

20 Push-Ups

Back Squat

20 reps at 105kg

4 Reps at 135kg

4x2 at 145kg

These felt much better today. Squats are definitely in need of focus over the coming months.

12 Minute AMRAP:

10 Deadlifts 50kg

10 Push Jerks 50kg

10 Pull-Ups

10 Handstand Push-Ups

I got 5 rounds and 2 of the HSPU done of the 6th.

I went out conservatively on this. I was still caught out by the HSPU to the point where I wouldn't have scored much higher even if I pushed it. I wanted to play it safe since it was my first workout with real intensity for 5 day. I think I got the balance about right.

30 Secs on/30 Secs off x6:

Calorie Row

I got 86 calories. This sucked but I was chuffed with my effort.

Equipment:

Back lifting with my favourite plates again! Remember to use TH5 to save money on yours.

Food

Coming out of my funk has made staying on plan much easier too.

At 8am I had 3 bacon rashers and 4 fried eggs. I had no fruit because I forgot to buy some!

At 1pm I had mince and cheese, followed by an orange.

At 5pm I had an orange.

At 7:45pm I had a fruit pot, because it was reduced when I went shopping, and I was hungry.

At 8:30pm I had rump steak, a rasher of bacon, and a block each of Red Leicester and Manchego. I followed this with mixed berries in yoghurt with honey.
