Today was brilliant. I mean all around, not just in the gym, but since this is a look at my training and nutrition, we'll stick with that. I trained on the 6:30pm class at CrossFit Napalm.
Split Jerk
Build to 3 Rep Max - 120kg - This is a lifetime best.
3 Position Snatch
Build to a heavy single - 80kg - I actually missed the 3rd lift at 85 through and error, but htat's okay. All in all it went well.
Snatch Pull
5x3 at 105% of snatch 1RM - I reduced this A LOT to 60% and went with a slow tempo of 5 seconds per pull, with an aggressive finish, to really feel position.
14 Minute AMRAP:
10 Toes to Bar
20 Double Unders
1 Squat Clean Thruster 60kg*
*Add 1 rep each round
I completed 8 rounds and 4 toes to bar. To say I'm pleased with this is an understatement for a few reasons. Firstly, I suck at both toes to bar at volume, and double unders pretty much always. Whenever the two movements show up together, I usually go to shit. Today I didn't. Also, when there's a barbell combined with these movements, historically that has made the bar 50% heavier in my mind. Today it felt light. This workout became what it should have been; a test of gas! I managed to stay unbroken on the toes to bar except for 1 break in the 8th round. The double unders were unbroken throughout. Be under no illusion, the gas could use more work as always, but I'm happy nonetheless!

Food
In spite of a couple of logistical challenges (I forgot my bloody meat, AGAIN!), today was on the money.
At 7am I had 3 rashers of bacon, 3 eggs and some berries.
At midday I had 2 apples.
At 1pm I had mince and cheese, followed by a banana.
At 8pm I had a lump of gouda.
At 9pm I had 2 ranch steaks, 2 fried eggs, and then berries, yoghurt and honey.
