Physical Freedom 104/365 - 20220417

Today was somewhere between a rest day, and a lazy training day. I say this because sets of pull-ups and dips are most definitely not active recovery, but performing 50 of each in sets of ten doesn't really constitute training either. I spent the vast majority of the day driving to and from the same competition I competed in yesterday, and watching my friends compete. As enjoyable as this was, it definitely led to a sub-optimal post-competition recovery day. Honestly though, I don't care - it was worth it.

Equipment:

A quick blast on the pull-up rig this evening in the garden. While this isn't an affiliated link, it is the model I use.

Food

A bit all over the place today. I had a porridge square for breakfast - the kind that comes in a wrapper, ready to eat - at around 9:30am.

At 2pm I had a chicken salad wrap.

At 2:30pm I had a lotus biscuit brownie. This was so good. I'm sure my digestive system disagrees, but my taste buds happiness more than makes up for it!

At 8pm I had 4 pork steaks, some halloumi and some olive sourdough bread.

This weekend has been fun all around. Lots of hard work, some compromises with food and a couple of beers yesterday evening, but all in all, a worthwhile experience. As I get back into routine tomorrow, the food will be reigned back in, and focus will return gradually to training as MountainMurph draws ever nearer!
