Physical Freedom 56/365 - 20220228

Today has been difficult, so I'll keep my blog short and to the point. I trained around 2:30pm, and keep my session simple, and under 30 minutes.

Snatch Balance

Build to a "no foot"* heavy triple and double.

100kg Triple, 110kg Double

*No foot for this purpose is the feet can rise and fall but not shit laterally.

5 Rounds for Quality

10 Strict fat Bar Pull-Ups

20 Push-Ups

*all reps must be unbroken

Just getting that Mountain Murph grunt work in. This sucked today, and I didn't want to do it, but I did it anyway. The unbroken rule was introduced on the spur of the moment to stop me from getting lazy!

Equipment

Click the image to view and buy, use TH5 to save money! I love this bar. Such a simple change to a regular pull-up bar, but it makes so much difference!

Food

At 7am I had bacon, 2 sausages and 2 fried eggs.

For lunch, at around 1pm, I had 2 chicken legs with cheese, and an orange to follow.

We had the closing social for the gym this evening. I had 4 pizza slices, a slice of cheesecake and a few beers.

Today was a tough day emotionally. I find when days get like this it's best to train with no targets. Have a loose plan, but use it to release stress, to help mindset and to achieve a sense of satisfaction. Goals are great at times, but other times they are dangerous obsessions that drive misery when they are inevitably not met. Today was a day for therapy before training.
