After a rest day yesterday, I was raring to go! What I wasn't so excited about was repeating a workout I have done 3 times before, most recently only 3 weeks ago! That said, in a sick way, I do really enjoy what this workout does to me.
I trained at 7pm after coaching the last class. I kept it simple today, warm-up for ten minutes, then straight into it.
For Time: CrossFit Games Open 14.5/16.5
Burpees Over Bar*
*I did not meet the Open standard for burpees, rather I did them alongside the bar, to follow the standard met by classes all day in the gym.
I started off with breakfast at 7am, which was 4 rashers of streaky bacon, 3 scrambled eggs, blueberries and half an avocado.
At 1pm, I had egg noodles, mince with tomatoes and courgette, topped with cheese.
I'm not sure what I'll have for dinner, but likely steak and veg, maybe with an egg added. Fruit and honey will almost certainly follow!
It felt great to add more intensity today. 4 out of the last 7 days have seen me move with purpose, intent and drive. While this isn't sustainable for me all of the time, I really fucking like it! It makes me feel completely alive, as if I'm striving for something, both in the moment, but also for a time afterwards. I feel like my focus is zeroed in, my consciousness is elevated and my cognitive powers are fully tuned. I plan on lifting some more this week, but also to start building up to Mountain Murph, the provisional details for which have been released today!
