Physical Freedom 129/365 - 20220519

Following any truly tragic periods in life, in my experience, a better day usually follows a nondescript shit day such as yesterday. Today, sure enough, was better. It was nothing special, and my training was pretty low intensity, but it was a good day and flowed nicely. I trained at 4pm outside my gym in the sunshine.

20 Rounds Not For Time:

5 Strict Pull-Ups

10 Push-Ups

15 Squats

Wearing 12kg weight vest.

Although I wasn't pushing for a time here, I did keep time and it took 26:37. I used the pull-up bar we'll be using for Mountain Murph, which may have slowed me a little.

Mace Play

No real structure, just ten minutes on the clock and plenty of swinging my 6kg mace. As my blog highlights, I've neglected this recently, and my shoulders were feeling a little rough. They now feel superb.

Equipment

This is the freestanding pull-up rig that Gravity Fitness have kindly donated for Mountain Murph. Click the image to grab yours.

Food

Today was a solid food day. I ate well, but also did my big butcher's shop. Doing that always gets me more excited about eating well.

At 7am I had 3 bacon rashers, 3 fried eggs and some berries.

At 11:30am I had 1lb of mince with cheese. I followed this with a satsuma.

At 5pm I had a satsuma.

At 7pm I had 2 cod loins, 2 rump steak kebabs, some halloumi, and a block each of stilton and Manchego. I followed this with berries, Greek yoghurt and honey.
